In 2018, OSA Editors announced the First Annual OSA Youth Visual Arts Competition. This event is designed to serve as a platform for promoting and recognizing youth talent in visual arts. OSA Youth in school, college and young adults are invited to participate.

Guidelines:

1. This competition is open to the children of all OSA members.
2. Entries should be submitted by the youth in the following three age groups:

• Junior: 4 to 10 years
• Intermediate: 11 to 17 years
• Senior: 18 years and above

3. Participants can submit their original work in one of the following five (5) categories.

• Painting / Drawing / Sketches (Submit up to 2 entries)
• Pure Photography (Submit up to 2 Photographs). Photos cannot be touched up or altered in any way. Only resizing is allowed.
• Creative Digital Art/Photography (submit up to 2 entries). Photos may be enhanced / altered with software or the entire image can be created with digital tools.
• Videography (Submit 1 video, 3 minutes or shorter)
• Odisha or OSA themes and memories (can be Painting, Sketch, Photo or Video).

4. Please ensure that your submission files are high resolution (3 Mb and above) files in .JPEG or .MP4 format.
5. Top artists will be recognized and given cash awards for each age group at the 2025 OSA Convention. Some of the entries may be published in the OSA quarterly UTKARSA magazine at the editors’ discretion.
6. All participants are invited to showcase their submission at a Visual Arts Exhibition at the convention and to talk about their work, interests and network with each other.

8. Judging Criteria: A panel of three (3) judges will be chosen based on their experience and understanding of the complexity level and technical challenges of each of the different categories
